Who is Cassidy?

Cassidy has been creating art from a young age. At age 10, she worked one-on-one with Polish American artist, Ewa Pohl who is known for her large-scale murals, to advance her drawing techniques. Over several years, Cassidy has explored a wide range of mediums, including pencil, charcoal, pastels, oil, and acrylic painting, screen printing, mixed media collage, pottery, and paper mâché, taking several specialized and advanced courses at the historic Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, Virginia. In her early twenties, she studied oil and gouache painting under Nataliya Gershman, a contemporary artist and illustrator.

In 2018, while living in Seattle, Cassidy converted her one-bedroom apartment into a full art studio where her only personal living space was confined to my small 10 x 10 bedroom. During the peak of COVID, she began apprenticing under Laura Van Horne, owner of Gray Sky Gallery in Seattle, WA. Laura introduced Cassidy to encaustic painting, teaching her everything about this amazing medium. In May 2022, Cassidy relocated to Madison, WI, where she continues to pursue her dream of becoming a full-time artist.
